promotion of gender equality || strengthening the capacity of women CBO members to advocate for the elimination of harmful traditional practices , gender discrimination and mainstreaming.

ROTDOW organizes train-the-trainer leadership and capacity building workshops to train women as peer educators on sexuality and reproductive health including HIV/AIDS.

Between 2009 and 2017, the capacity of two hundred and three (503) women leaders from seven communities was built on leadership. Sixty (60) of the women are from Akure South, Ifedore/Igbara-Oke, Ile-Oluji, Idanre and Akure North Local Government Areas of Ondo State.

We also empower women with knowledge and skills on:

  • Leadership Roles
  • Women health including FMG, Gender Violence, Widowhood Practices and HIV/AIDS
  • Women in politics and governance
  • CEDAW document
  • Poverty alleviation/economic empowerment issues
  • Advocacy/lobbying and communication skills.
