ROTDOW Trains Students at Millenium College of Health Technology in Akure on the Administration of Vitamin A and Albendazole

ROTDOW, in partnership with support from Vitamin Angels, has initiated the training of School of Health students in the administration of Vitamin A and Albendazole starting with the Millenium College of Health Technology. The purpose is to enhance the local health system’s capacity to provide Vitamin A to children under the age of five, thereby improving coverage for hard-to-reach children.

At ROTDOW, we are dedicated to supporting VAS programs for children aged six months to five years, as it is one of the most cost-effective ways to enhance child survival. A single Vitamin A capsule can boost immunity and protect children under five from preventable diseases and blindness. Providing children under five with two doses of Vitamin A each year reduces their risk of mortality, lowers the incidence of diarrhea, and gradually decreases the likelihood of child stunting.
