WARDC in collaboration with ROTDOW Team Celebrates International Day of Girl Child at Uso Grammar School in Ondo State

The International Day of the Girl Child for year 2022 was tagged Our Time Is Now-Our Right, Our Future. It’s a day that acknowledges for female Child to know the importance, power, and potential of adolescent girls by encouraging the opening up of more opportunities for them. At the same time, this day was designated to eliminate gender-based challenges that little girls face around including rape, child marriages, poor learning opportunities, violence, and discrimination.

The Chief Executive Officer ROTDOW, Mrs Omolona Olabisi educated the students on the topic BORN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  She implored the girls not to allow anyone to mortgage their future, they should engaged themselves in a skill acquisition that will make them outliers. Likewise, she encouraged them to Speak Out Against Gender Based Violence and Rape.

Mrs Patrick Adedoyin Adebisi implored the students not limit themselves, but aspire for great positions and also believe in themselves.

Gifts were presented to active female students in the gathering, the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act VAPP Law was presented to the school principal of Uso Community Comprehensive School Pastor Mrs.Adebowale to use the VAPP Law to enlighten the students more and be able to speak out on any Gender Based Violence case.
