The theme of this year’s African Women’s Day celebration was geared towards the “African Women’s Decade: Realizing women human capital through accelerated social and economic development, addressing the scourge of violence, food insecurity and good nutrition on the African continent’.
The Executive Director of ROTDOW, Mrs Omolona Olabisi during the commemoration implored parents’ to teach their children the morale and values of Africa land, and should endeavour to create a positive emotional bond with their children so as to help them manage their feelings, behaviours and develop self-confidence amidst their peers.

We believe that children who have good parenting are better equipped to cope and overcome challenges such as instability, depression and negative feelings.
The events ended with enlightenment on violence against women with the cultural dancing troops.
