Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) training organized by International Labour Organization on ACCEL Africa project sponsored by the Netherland Government. The SIYB programme is one of the world’s largest programmes focusing on starting and improving small businesses as a strategy for creating more and better employment for women and men, particularly in emerging economies.
Intense 11-day training was facilitated by the Master Trainer Mrs Adebimpe Opegbemi who introduced the participants to both SYB and GYB packages as well as to adult learning methodologies through a participatory approach.
During the training, every participant delivered a practice session as well as developed their individual action plan.

The ILO assists Business Development Service (BDS) organizations which includes Restoration of the Dignity of Womanhood (ROTDOW) to develop the skills required to implement, monitor, administer the training programme, and sets up a sustainable training system which will contribute to sustainable economic growth and employment generation.
