The Chairman, FML&E Controller, Mr Folayan Micheal appreciated the members for their activeness towards the ACCEL Africa Project.
There was a reviewed of activities done so far, and Progress report from members on activities done on Child Labour in the State in which the Representatives from National Orientation Agency, Mr Akintade said he ensure he sensitized people during their programs in the Office.
Comrade Emmanuel Kolawole, representatives the Child Protection Network made mention of the case on Child Labour and Abuse in which CPN in collaboration with @restoration_womanhood and @kidsnteensngo were able to return the child to her father, and Child Protection network will continue to advocate on the Elimination of Child Labour in the State. The members plan for activities on the State Operational Plan which includes; Advocacy visit to Ministry of Economic Planing, Ministry of Women Affairs.
The Controller, FML&E assured the State Committee that he is going to advocate and inform the Ondo State Governor on ACCEL Africa Project on Elimination of Child on May 1st.
Suggestion was made on activities to be carried out by the Ondo State Steering Committee on the World Day Against Child Labour which include:
- Road walk Visitation (9th June 2022)
- Sensitization (10th June 2022)
- Press Conference
- Radio Talk/Jingle (11th June 2022)
- Inviting of Philanthropist in the Communities for the program
- Distribution of Equipment for Beneficiaries youth, and Beneficiaries Parent on ACCEL Africa Project.
Members present includes; Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment,Trade Union Congress,Nigeria Union of Journalists, Representatives from the Head of Service in Ondo State, NSCDC, Child Protection Network, National Orientation Agency, Nigeria Police, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Emmanuel World Children Foundation, ROTDOW, K&TRC.
